Xiamen Discovery

I was in Xiamen this week for work. While 亲爱的 didn't join me there, we talked for at least 2-3 times a day over the phone. I made a mistake. I called her using the hotel phone, and also told her my room number. Guess what happend? She called me in the late evening to check if I was in the room. She claimed that she couldn't sleep and wanted to chat with me. First two nights were ok, but being a bachelor in Xiamen, it will be stupid of me to watch tv in my room, so for subsequent nights, I went party with friends. The next day, 亲爱的 would say..."昨晚你不在房间吗？去那里玩啦？" and I have to tell her that I went drinking with friends at the hotel bar and blah blah blah ...and she would say "没事的，你可以找个姑娘陪你。我了解男人有这个需要。" Well, how I hope my wife would say that to me. So co-incidently I had a casual chat with a female friend in Xiamen about relationship, and she share the same thoughts as 亲爱的. She felt that it is alright for her husband to have physical contact with other girls as men have such needs. She will only be upset if her husband is emotionally attached to another girl. I didn't know that China girls are so liberal with their husbands. No wonder more and more Singapore men are marrying China girls.
