QQ

I've been pestering my 亲爱的 to install MSN on her office PC, but she doesn't have the slightest clue on how to do that. I gave up that idea, and decided to install QQ onto my laptop. QQ is the most popular free instant messaging software in Mainland China, in fact everyone who uses the computer would have an account. So does my 亲爱的。I downloaded the Chinese version from http://in.qq.com/ and applied for an ID. We made an appointment yesterday afternoon to chat in QQ. Since she doesn't owned a PC, she has to go to the internet cafe to as it was a non-working day yesterday. She paid RMB3 per hour for the service. I plugged in my webcam, microphone and headphones, and eagerly waited for her to go online. The next moment, I saw my 亲爱的 appeared on my QQ friend list, and we got connected. I was so happy to see her on the webcam. I really missed her.

I tried to do voice, but it didn't work. Maybe the great firewall of China doesn't allow voice communication. For the next 2 hours, I have to type out chinese characters in hanyu pinyin in the chat window, which I am quite good at that anyway. While we were chatting, 亲爱的told me that she was also chatting with few other friends at the same time. I was quite touched when she told me that she has justed chatted with a Guangzhou friend, and she told her "我爱上了一个不应该爱的人" and her friend replied "我了解你的痛苦". After 2 hours, 亲爱的said she needed to visit her aunt, so the fun has to end. She waved at me in the webcam, and in returned, I waved at her. I look forward to another QQ chat with her soon.
