A Long Conversation

Last night I was on the phone with 亲爱的 for more than an hour. Since I'm using pfingo, it only cost me 5 cents per minute from Bangkok to her china mobile phone. She's 郁闷 again because her mum called her yesterday evening and complaint about not enough money to spend. Her younger brother, who is in the university, has asked for more pocket money as he is dating a girl. So 亲爱的 agreed to send another ￥1,000 to her mum today. Don't these people know that her daughter and his sister is having a hard time in Beijing? the good for nothing brother should do some part-time job to earn his pocket money, afterall, he is sextifying himself. When I was an undergraduate, I used to work in a Karaoke to earn my $300 a month pocket money. Guess China is very much a 重男轻女 society. No wonder so many China girls have to end up as working ladies.

This time she also poured out her feelings to me. She felt that she's really stupid to fall in love with me, since there won't be any outcome for us. She is the traditional type and hope to get married and have kids eventually. She suggested that we should just stop talking to each other for half a year. Maybe I'm the selfish one. I can't let her go. It's not easy to find a China girl that doesn't talk money. On the other hand, I don't have a solution for her. since I don't intend to marry her unless Singapore law allows polygamy. Who knows? Maybe sometime in the future, Singapore may just allow polygamy to solve the declining birth rate problem. Afterall, my great grandfather had more than one wives, and I'm only inheriting his genes.
